join us in celebrating concorde’s maiden flight
2nd march 2019
Celebrate the anniversary of the first ever Concorde flight with a visit to Aerospace Bristol. We will be celebrating throughout the weekend with special activities and will be giving away a free Concorde flag for the first 500 children to visit on Concorde’s anniversary weekend.
meet adrian thompson
Former British Airways Concorde Captain Adrian Thompson flew the very last commercial Concorde service: the BA001 London to New York, on 23rd October 2003.
Captain Thompson will be here to meet visitors and sign autographs, so pick up a souvenir from the gift shop and have it signed as a memento of this historic day.
Watch exclusive archive footage
Enjoy footage of Concorde’s maiden flight, which took place on 2nd March 1969. Footage will also play on Sunday 3rd March.
concorde spotlight talks
Discover more of Concorde’s fascinating history and amazing engineering with special Concorde Spotlight Talks.
Spotlight Talks will take place throughout Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd March.
Due to an external concert taking place on the airfield next to the museum we advise visitors to arrive early in order to enjoy a fun day out at Aerospace Bristol. The museum will remain open until 5pm but we advise visitors to depart by 4pm in order to avoid any concert traffic.
live from aerospace bristol
Bradley Stoke Radio will be broadcasting live from Aerospace Bristol throughout the day, so why not stop by, share your Concorde story with the team, and enjoy the fun.
What's more, all of these activities are free to join as part of your museum admission!
