Our volunteers play a fundamental role in the success and future of Aerospace Bristol.
Our vision is an aerospace museum, which inspires, entertains and informs through the understanding of, and engagement with, the stories and collections of Bristol’s aerospace industry – past, present and future. It is, of course, also be home to the last Concorde ever built and the last to fly when it returned to its birthplace in 2003.
You will be answering enquiries from the public received via our online form regarding the archive and aiding researchers in arranging visits to the archive. You will receive training from the project archivist on questions and requests that are likely to arise. You may also have the opportunity to perform some basic archival tasks.
role reports to
Day to be negotiated, but either Wednesday or Thursday morning (10:00-12:30) or Wednesday afternoon (13:00-15:30) until September 2019.
Depending on your availability and volume of enquiries, this may need to be reviewed in the future.

Good IT skills
Ability to accurately input data and to ensure data is input consistently
Attention to detail
Enthusiasm for archives and a willingness to learn
Ability to handle documents with care
Ability to tolerate repetitive work
Willingness to work within and comply with Health & Safety requirements

Volunteers will be required to attend role specific training prior to commencing volunteering at the Museum
Volunteers must be prepared to undertake a Basic Disclosure check prior commencing their role
