If you love what we are creating at Aerospace Bristol or want to remember someone who did, what better way to show it than by sponsoring a seat in our John James Theatre? The lecture theatre has 146 seats and is situated alongside Concorde Alpha Foxtrot in the Concorde hangar. This first class space is frequently used for a range of exciting events, including specialist talks, lectures, and special corporate occasions.

With a donation of £1,000, you can sponsor a seat in the John James Lecture Theatre, and show your support for Aerospace Bristol’s aim to inspire the generation of today to develop the ideas of tomorrow.

I joined BAC at Filton in 1964, aged 18, and had a wonderful training in this fascinating industry. Sponsoring a seat is a small way of saying thank you.
— Lindsey Henniker-Heaton, Lecture Theatre Seat Supporter

name a seat

When you sponsor a seat in our lecture theatre, your personalised dedication will be engraved on a plaque fixed to your chosen seat. You can name a seat:

  • In your own name, or for members of your family

  • As a gift for a friend or someone special

  • In memory of a loved one

  • By joining together with friends and colleagues

  • By adopting the appeal as your school, group or company charity of the year

You can personalise your plaque with an inscription of up to 65 characters, and your special dedication will be in place for the lifetime of the seat.

We love hearing about the stories that surround and inspire the naming of our Lecture Theatre seats. Contact us to discuss saving our seat and share your story with us by calling 0117 363 4621.

Enjoy a range of benefits

By way of a special thank you, we are pleased to offer a range of benefits including:

  • A plaque that will remain in place for the lifetime of the seat.

  • An invitation to an exciting Aerospace Bristol event in the John James Lecture theatre, with the opportunity for a photograph of you in your sponsored seat! Your invitation will also include access to the museum and the chance to go on board Concorde Alpha Foxtrot.
