So many memories as my Dad flew Concorde. Amazing to arrive in NYC in three hours and then take seven days to.come home on the QE2. But my favourite story is that I had the world's only supersonic bicycle! Dad bought it whilst away on a work trip and brought it home on Concorde, cycling it down the aisle over the Atlantic.

My memories are of my late father Charles Taylor working on the prototype of Concorde at Filton. He worked for Smiths industries at that time and worked on the dials and instruments of Concorde. He was very proud to be working on Concorde and we are very proud of him to be associated with it.

Growing up in Bristol, I always felt an immense sense of pride when hearing stories about Concorde and when we knew that her final flight would end in Bristol, my dad and I wanted to get as close as possible. We had a feeling that the A38 would be popular but we managed to get a spot right up against the perimeter fence of the runway and I can vividly remember the rush as she came swooping overhead, almost within touching distance to make that final landing.
