Aerospace Bristol is a new industrial heritage museum and learning centre being developed at Filton, to the north of Bristol. It will tell the story of the region's world-class aerospace industry - past, present and future. The Aerospace Bristol project is being run by the Bristol Aero Collection Trust.

Visit Aerospace Bristol and take your pupils on an exciting journey through time

developing STEM skills & inspiring future engineers

From the earliest days of powered flight to the cutting-edge technology of tomorrow, you will be inspired by fun practical science interactives and amazing exhibits, including aeroplanes, helicopters, missiles, satellites, and more.

Developed with industry partners, our inspiring and practical learning programme encourages pupils to develop STEM skills and discover the possibilities of exciting future careers in science and engineering.

Fully equipped learning spaces

Aerospace Bristol features fully equipped learning spaces with specialist facilities for school and youth groups. We have worked with our partners from the aerospace industry to develop an inspiring and practical learning programme for schools which will not only allow visitors to explore our amazing local history story but develop STEM skills and discover the possibilities of a career in engineering.

Thank you so much for coming to visit us. The pupils learned a lot and really enjoyed making gliders and we can’t wait to see you at the new museum next year
— Year 3 Teacher

I was amazed at the diversity of engineering that has taken place in Bristol. I grew up in Bristol and as far as I was aware the only engineering was planes and their engines. How could I have gone through Primary, Secondary and Higher education and an A-level in Bristol and not known the extent of engineering heritage we have?... The museum is an opportunity to make sure the generation I teach and future generations know the heritage we have, both locally and with links abroad
