Engineering Futures:
Play your part in
inspiring the engineers
of the future

We need your support to raise vital funds to sustain and grow the Aerospace Bristol learning programme and also increase the unique opportunities we can offer for young people in our amazing Conservation workshop.

The museum has learning at its heart and offers a strong learning programme that supports the National Curriculum. The museum’s learning programme and interactive exhibition encourages young people to engage with and be inspired by the engineering achievements of Bristol. Hands-on activity sessions, practical skills workshops, and science shows are provided to encourage young people along STEM pathways to ultimately increase the pool of skilled recruits for the engineering industry.

We are calling on corporate supporters and individuals who care about igniting passion in our young people, to support the Engineering Futures appeal today.

Play your part and ignite an interest in STEM for young people.

Thank you for your support.

…due to the pandemic, I missed out on a lot practical skills that I would have gained in the first year. The conservation workshop has given me an amazing opportunity to learn practical skills such as riveting, which I then use when working on projects such as the Bristol Bolingbroke. Through this experience and working alongside ex-industry engineers I will gain skills which will benefit my future career…”

Individual giving

Support the engineering futures appeal and ignite passion in the next generation of engineers

Whether a one-off donation or a regular gift, every donation means so much.

We believe that all children should have the opportunity to engage with STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) and experience the wonder of Concorde!

With your help, we can continue our award winning learning programme and spark a lifelong passion and enthusiasm for science and engineering in young people, whatever their background.

All donations, no matter what size, will make a huge difference

Become an Engineering Futures Corporate Partner

Our award winning learning programme needs your support, so that we can continue to develop our workshops and inspire even more young people along STEM pathways.

In 2021, Aerospace Bristol completed the transformation of a Grade II listed, WWI aircraft hangar on the museum site into a new ‘Conservation in Action’ Workshop. Inside, our experienced volunteer team work on important aircraft conservation projects in view of the public. The workshop is a space for young people to learn more about engineering and gain invaluable hands-on work experience.

With your support we can provide formal and informal learning opportunities and allow work experience, early-career engineers and apprentices to work on unique aircraft projects alongside our staff and volunteers, encouraging the next generation along STEM pathways.

We want to hear from companies who want to collaborate, input or get involved in the range of ways we can inspire future engineers through our both our formal and informal learning offer and including within our new Conservation in Action workshop. Whether through work experience, apprentice schemes, distinct conservation projects or staff away days, please get in touch.

Engineering Futures Guardian

At higher levels of support as an Engineering Futures Guardian, you can have a unique dedication inside the conservation workshop.

Become an Engineering Futures Guardian and ensure we can continue our unique conservation projects in view of the public and offer hands-on volunteering and learning opportunities.

As thanks for your support, you can be recognised through a unique clocking-in card supporters’ display.

This special sponsorship is reminiscent of past engineers clocking in to their shift at the same site over 100 years ago.

For generous donations of £250 and above, donors will have the opportunity to have a personalised clocking-in card as part of our display. In recognition of your donation, you will also be sent a clocking-in style certificate personalised with your dedication as a keepsake

Gold guardian: sponsor your own clock

In recognition of significant contributions of £5000 and above, Gold Guardians will have their support recognised with a plaque dedication on their own original ‘clocking-in’ clock inside the conservation workshop. Your clock will take pride of place on display in the new workshop for visitors to enjoy.
