Chocs Away!

A Tasty Time Travel Adventure

Saturday 5th April - Sunday 27th April

Take on a series of food-themed challenges and uncover the meals that pilots and passengers enjoyed at key moments in aviation history.

Go on an adventure through time, starting with the steaming thermoses of Bovril on early Bristol Scout flights, to the astronaut ice cream eaten today, and the luxury dining experienced on Concorde.

Complete all the challenges to claim your chocolate prize!

Joystick Club Pedal Planes

Tuesday 8th - Thursday 10th April

A Squadron of Pedal Planes will be at Aerospace Bristol from the 8th to the 10th of April including a Spitfire, Tiger Moth and Hawk Trainer. Budding young pilots will have the chance to sit in the smaller replicas and travel around the Concorde Hangar.

The planes, modelled on historic aircraft are made by members of the Joystick Club, based in White Waltham, near Maidenhead, Berkshire, most of whom are current and retired pilots.

All the aircraft are based on their full-sized counterparts, finished and decorated to represent them. Where a child is unable to pedal, "push sticks" are attached to the tail of each plane, so an adult can guide the trainee pilots around.

Droop Nose Demonstration

Wednesday, 9th April

Catch a live Droop Nose on Wednesday, 9th April as we mark the 56th anniversary of a British Concorde’s maiden flight.

On 9th April 1969 Concorde prototype 002 (G-BSST) took off from Filton, Bristol and landed at RAF Fairford.

Concorde's droop nose was designed to give pilots better visibility during takeoff and landing.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see the droop nose in action at the very location were Concorde’s story began.
