Concorde After-Hours Tour: Mach Two
Saturday 23rd November| 4.30pm - 7pm
Final Flight anniversary edition
This Concorde After-Hours tour will celebrate the 21st anniversary of Concorde’s final flight on 26th November 2003. The longest serving Concorde Captain, Colin Morris will join you on your tour, sharing fascinating stories from his remarkable career, flying the supersonic passenger jet.
Upon arrival, you and your fellow guests will be greeted with a refreshing welcome drink or soft drink, along with a selection of delicious canapés. You will then be divided into four groups, each rotating through three sections:
On board Concorde: Explore the forward cabin while hearing captivating stories about what it was like to fly on the jet and enjoy a unique photo opportunity.
Underneath Concorde: Discover the technical feats of the aircraft, highlighting its engineering innovations.
Concorde Flight Deck Simulator: Experience the mock flight deck and delve into Concorde’s history through the exhibition.
As a grand finale, witness the Droop Nose demonstration, operated by Captain Colin Morris, adding a spectacular highlight to the conclusion of your tour.
Each guest will receive a special certificate signed by a Concorde VIP and a gift from Aerospace Bristol to commemorate their experience.
21st Final Flight Anniversary
Meet Captain Les Brodie and watch the iconic droop nose move
Sunday 24th November | 11:30 am
To commemorate the 21st anniversary of Concorde's final flight on 26th November, 2003, Captain Les Brodie will perform a special droop nose demonstration at 11:30am. He will then be in the Concorde exhibition to meet and chat with all our visitors.
Captain Les Brodie famously flew Alpha Foxtrot on its final flight from London Heathrow, heading out over the Bay of Biscay, soaring over the Clifton Suspension Bridge, and then returning home to Filton Airfield.
Meeting Captain Les Brodie and watching the nose droop demonstration is included with general museum admission.

BAC TSR.2: From Paper to Hardware
Tuesday, 26th November | 7:15pm | The John James Theatre
The BAC TSR.2 made its first flight from Boscombe Down some 60 years ago on 27 September 1964. In his talk Tony Buttler MA AMRAeS will examine the process that resulted in the issue of General Operational Requirement 339 to industry in 1957.
This resulted in numerous submissions and the talk will describe many of these. There were also engine submissions from Bristol Siddeley and Rolls-Royce. The talk will consider the design competition that resulted in the selection of a combined Vickers/English Electric design which became TSR.2 and look at a competing project from Hawker Siddeley.
The talk will also highlight some aspects of the TSR.2 development process. The talk will conclude with a short film from the FAST Archive of the first flight.

Explore the winter constellations and planets illuminating the heavens, and uncover the mystery of the Star of Bethlehem, which heralded the birth of Christ over 2,000 years ago.
Travel back in time to ancient Bethlehem to learn about this celestial marvel and discover the lesser-known facts about its nature and timing. Plus, ask your questions about the Christmas Star during the Q&A.
The Christmas Star: Live Planetarium Presentation is 40 minutes long and is recommended for children aged 6+.
The Holy Star 360° Film
In the Dome Club Planetarium
Experience a stunning night sky that begins with a breathtaking sunset, followed by the unveiling of over 1,300 twinkling stars, the magnificent Milky Way, and enchanting shooting stars.
Dive into the 22-minute film, The Holy Star, which explores the mysteries of the Star of Bethlehem—was it a miracle, myth, or something else? Journey through time with awe-inspiring visuals of comets, novae, and supernovae.
The film concludes with a Q&A session, where you can ask about the Christmas Star or any cosmic wonders!
The Holy Star 360° Film is 30 minutes long and is recommended for children aged 9+.

Aerospace Bristol’s Christmas Workshop
Sunday 1st December - Monday 23rd December
This festive season, step into Aerospace Bristol's Christmas Workshop, set within the historic Conservation Hangar. Hop aboard a real Bristol Freighter for an imaginary flight to the North Pole and send your Christmas wish list straight to Santa!
Access to Aerospace Bristol’s Christmas Workshop is included with museum admission.
Concord Church Carol Service
Sunday 15th December, 5.30 pm - 6.30pm
Concord Church will host its annual carol service alongside Concorde on Sunday, 15th December. This free community event welcomes attendees of all ages and features festive treats such as mince pies and mulled wine available for purchase from the museum café. There will also be festive crafts for children to get involved in.
Doors will open at 5 pm, and the carol service will begin at 5:30 pm.
Buy your Christmas Tree at Aerospace Bristol
From 20th November
Frenchay Forestry will be selling their beautiful Christmas trees in the Aerospace Bristol car park again this year, starting on 20th November.
As a special offer, customers who purchase a Christmas tree can enjoy 15% off anything in the gift shop when they present their Frenchay Forestry receipt. Additionally, shoppers in the gift store can receive 10% off their Christmas tree by showing their gift shop receipt.
For every tree sold, Frenchay Forestry makes a donation to the museum.
Story Cafe at Aerospace Bristol
Mondays during term time, 10am to 10:30am, Aerospace Bristol Cafe
Join us between 10:00 am to 10:30 am every Monday during term time where Aerospace Bristol’s learning team will be reading a story in the Museum Cafe. These sessions are free to attend, and museum admission is not required. Story time is on the following dates:

As well as Story time, we have a colouring station in the Cafe and a great outdoor play area for the children to enjoy.
This is a fantastic opportunity for early years to engage with the museum through stories about Planes, Transport & Space. Our Story Cafe is suitable for children aged 12 months to 4 years old, but all are welcome.
