Upcoming Talks

Rotary Wings - How they Changed the World | Tuesday 25 November by Tony Bray

In his talk Tony Bray will explore how rotary winged flight has changed our world.

Using a variety of photos, maps, and video clips he will show how the early prototypes developed into the wide variety of specialist machines we have today.  The fast pace of development was inevitably driven by the military through their huge defence budgets.  But he will also explore some of the many civilian applications for helicopters that we have today. He will also consider drones that as well as having a far-reaching effect on warfare are also being used for so many different civilian activities.
