COMPETITION: give someone the chance to operate Concorde’s droop nose 

Aerospace Bristol is giving away a very special prize this Christmas. We’re asking you to nominate someone who you feel deserves the exclusive opportunity to enter the Flight Deck of the last Concorde ever to fly and operate the droop nose of Concorde Alpha Foxtrot.

This fantastic giveaway celebrates the launch of our Engineering Futures Appeal, where Engineering Futures Champions will help to inspire the budding engineers of tomorrow.

Your reason for nominating doesn’t need to be linked to engineering or aerospace. If you know that your nominee would love the chance to operate Concorde’s controls, and you have a reason why you feel they deserve this exclusive reward, we want to hear from you.

Terms & Conditions

The closing date for entries is Friday 13th December 2019 and the winner will be notified on Monday 16th December 2019.

Your nominee MUST be available on 2nd January 2020, arriving at Aerospace Bristol at 11am ready to operate the droop nose at 12pm. If the winner is unavailable, the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner may be selected.

Please also note that, as Concorde’s flight deck is a confined space, your nominee must be physically capable of climbing into the captain’s seat and reaching the controls.

Nominees must be aged 12 or over and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Up to 4 single-use museum tickets are included in the prize, for use on 2nd January 2020 only.
