The Joystick Club Pedal Planes at Aerospace Bristol

A Squadron of Pedal Planes were at Aerospace Bristol on the 4th and 5th of April including a Spitfire, Tiger Moth and Hawk Trainer.

Budding young pilots had the chance to sit in the smaller replicas and travel between our Hangars.

The planes, modelled on historic aircraft are made by members of the Joystick Club, based in White Waltham, near Maidenhead, Berkshire, most of whom are current and retired pilots.

All the aircraft are based on their full-sized counterparts, finished and decorated to represent them. Where a child was unable to pedal, "push sticks" were attached to the tail of each plane, so an adult could guide the trainee pilots around.

The Joystick Club also kindly brought along two simulators that were located inside the Concorde Hangar.
