Meet History at Aerospace Bristol this Easter
The museum will be bringing history to life throughout the Easter holidays
From actors portraying historic characters to real-life experts sharing their aerospace achievements, Aerospace Bristol is giving visitors the chance to ‘Meet History’ this Easter.
From Good Friday to Easter Monday (29th March to 1st April), and again from 5th to 8th April, visitors will be able to meet actors playing George Henry Challenger, the designer of the Bristol Boxkite, and Olga Lehmann, an artist who painted incredible murals in underground factories.
As well as finding out about the life of Olga Lehmann, visitors will also be able to step into her shoes and contribute to a huge new mural for the museum’s school lunch space.
There will also be the opportunity to meet real-life people who achieved great things in their aerospace careers. These remarkable people, including Concorde engineers and rocket scientists, will be sharing their fascinating stories and important contributions to the world of aerospace.
Finally, to keep younger visitors entertained, a squadron of pedal planes for under-5s will be landing at Aerospace Bristol on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th April. Budding young pilots will have the chance to sit in these small replica aircraft and let their imaginations take flight.
All activities are included with admission and Aerospace Bristol tickets include free return visits for a year.
