Aerospace Bristol named in top 50 UK ‘fun’ educational visitor attractions
Aerospace Bristol is thrilled to be listed among the top 50 UK ‘fun’ educational visitor attractions, ranking 25th among some of the best in the country. The museum earned this spot based on a survey that asked people about their most ‘fun’ educational leisure attraction visits across the UK.
The UK market research company, OnePoll, conducted the survey based on research commissioned by Manchester-based Saturn Digital Solutions. The findings revealed that the human brain favours learning when it’s done in a fun, interactive, and supportive environment, which aligns with Aerospace Bristol's mission to inspire the next generation of engineers.
Chris Welsh, CEO of digital signage consultancy Saturn Visual Solutions, which commissioned the research and released the list, said: “Every year, tables of data are published about which visitor attractions are the most popular, but something often overlooked is how much ‘fun’ they are. Both adults and children are more likely to learn and remember information if it’s part of a ‘fun’ experience, so we thought it was important to find out which educational visitor attractions were most successful in making learning fun.”
The museum’s award-winning learning programme also features a range of inquiry-based workshops on science, math, design technology, and business, suitable for students from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to A-Levels. Aerospace Bristol, with its century-spanning exhibits on Bristol’s pioneering role in aviation, plays an important role in inspiring visiting schools and students.
