Celebrating #RememberACharity week at Aerospace Bristol
Aerospace Bristol is always delighted when someone remembers them in their will, as this helps to continue inspiring future generations and celebrating the rich history of aviation.
This week, they’d like to thank everyone who has chosen to support them this way, including Dr John R. Deane, who spent 20 years in service at Filton, including time in the Aerodynamic Research Department at Barnwell Hall. His connection to Filton dates back even further, with his first flight in a Chipmunk as part of the Combined Cadet Force at Bristol Grammar School.
His connection to Filton goes back to before his service on the site, with his first flying experience in a Chipmunk with No. 3 air experience flight as a member of the Combined Cadet Force at Bristol Grammar School.
Reflecting on his decision, Dr Deane shared, “I have left a legacy to Aerospace Bristol to help continue the story for others about the rich history of Filton. I spent much of my working life associated with the site and I would wish to help inspire future generations to be part of the industry with its proud heritage.”
This wonderful act of kindness will help to preserve Bristol’s rich heritage history and inspire the next generation of engineers.
