Bristol Bolingbroke 9048 reaches new restoration milestone

Conservation Volunteers at Aerospace Bristol have achieved further progress in restoring the WWII aircraft, Bristol Bolingbroke 9048.

In the latest developments, the Conservation volunteers have successfully fitted the stern post of the fin to the aircraft. This milestone will make way for the next important phase – the installation of the rudder.

Conservation Volunteer Brian Meters shares, “The rudder has received two coats of dope to finish the work.”

The Bolingbroke cockpit is underway transformation as well. Brian Meters further reports, “The cockpit glazing is also making progress, though there is still a lot of work to do."

We’re immensely grateful to our wonderful volunteers for their dedication in restoring the Bristol Bolingbroke 9048.
