Reminiscence of Holidays

Below are some questions along with photographs of objects which we take out for reminiscence sessions and images from our museum archive. Each image has a short caption telling you what it is. Use the questions to help you reminisce as you look through the images and start a discussion with family or friends about your own experiences related to this theme (you can print them out or look on the screen).

  • Do you have a memory of a favourite holiday?

  • Where did you go and why was it so special?

  • Did you ever travel abroad on holiday?

  • Do you remember the first time you went on an Aeroplane? What was it like?

  • Have you been to any of the places in these passports?

  • Did you ever have a passport like this?

  • Do you remember using paper boarding passes and tickets to go on aeroplanes?
