Major Relaunch of Museum Café Following Prestigious Food & Drink Accolade

Aerospace Bristol’s café has soared to new heights with a prestigious Food & Drink accolade from VisitEngland, and an exciting relaunch is set for 2025.

The museum, renowned for housing the last Concorde ever to fly, has announced an exciting new chapter for its café, with a complete refurbishment planned for February 2025.

Open to both museum visitors and the general public, the café offers access without the need for a ticket, making it a hub for the local Brabazon, Patchway, and Charlton Hayes communities. The upcoming relaunch will enhance the café experience and further improve the visitor offering.

Adam Jones, Head of Marketing and Commercial Operations, said: “We’re aiming to create a much more welcoming space for our community’s residents. This transformation will not only elevate the cafe but also help us further achieve our goal of being a community hub where visitors can relax and connect.”

In keeping with the site’s rich history, the new interior design will draw inspiration from the Bristol Aeroplane Company. The redesign will pay homage to the heritage of the site, incorporating elements that celebrate its aviation legacy.

In addition, to the upcoming refurbishment, the café has received a prestigious Food & Drink accolade from VisitEngland. The accolade is awarded to participants on the VisitEngland Visitor Attraction quality scheme, and reflects the high standard the museum’s café has achieved.

Chris Walter, Operations Director for Fosters Events, said: “We have brought our quality, locally sourced food to Aerospace Bristol and have served wonderful seasonal menus to their many visitors. It’s fantastic to be recognised by VisitEngland and to receive a Food & Drink accolade. We can’t wait to get started on the café relaunch.”

Aerospace Bristol is committed to inspiring the next generation of engineers but is also working towards being a valued part of its local community. Further plans include the expansion of café opening hours, and more community events.
