Aerospace Bristol’s virtual balloons cross the finish line

To celebrate ‘Look Up! The Story of Hot Air Ballooning in Bristol’, Aerospace Bristol hosted a Virtual Balloon Race from Friday, 22nd August until 29th August.

The virtual balloons have crossed the finish line, and the race has successfully concluded! We extend a massive thank you to everyone who participated and helped us raise essential funds for our Engineering Futures Appeal, fueling inspiration for the next generation of engineers.

The museum is also immensely grateful to Nick Dunnington and First Flight for dontating the top prize of a hot air balloon ride for two.

To all our participants: If you’re a winner, you’ve been contacted directly. Thank you once again for making this event a soaring success!

First Prize: Take to the skies with a hot air balloon ride courtesy of First Flight. You and a friend will join a group ride and experience the wonder of hot air ballooning over the beautiful West Country.

Second Prize: Win a family or group ticket to Aerospace Bristol for up to 5 people, including lunch and a 15% discount in our shop. Plus, take home your very own LEGO Concorde signed by former Concorde Pilot Tim Orchard and former Chief Concorde Engineer John Britton.

The Next Four Runners Up: Win a pair of annual return tickets.

‘Look Up!’ celebrates the heritage of hot air ballooning in Bristol and is on until Sunday, 1st September.
