New sternpost made from scratch attached to Bolingbroke in latest restoration update
Following the attachment of the tailplane, the previously missing sternpost, made from scratch by our highly skilled volunteer Tim Nutt, is now being bolted to the tailcone. Once secured, the fin and rudder—both supported by the sternpost—will be added consecutively.
The Bolingbroke cockpit is also undergoing transformation, as it is being glazed with Perspex. Next up, the propellers are being made. We’re immensely grateful to our wonderful volunteers for their dedication in restoring the Bristol Bolingbroke 9048.
