Aerospace Bristol Explores the World of Robotics this February Half Term
From Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd February, Aerospace Bristol will host Robot Explorers, a week-long event celebrating robotics. Designed to engage young inventors, aspiring engineers, and curious minds, the event offers hands-on activities that bring the science of robotics to life.
Charlie Clark, Learning Manager at Aerospace Bristol said: "I’ve always been amazed at the creativity of robotics. Robot Explorers offers a unique opportunity for young minds to test their skills and imaginations.”
Highlights of Robot Explorers:
Drive a Rover: Navigate a robot across a simulated Martian surface using iPad controls. Test precision and problem-solving skills by steering through obstacles.
Complete a Mars Mission: Design and build a Mars Rover capable of collecting ore and returning it to base. The challenge focuses on creating lightweight, agile designs suitable for Martian terrain.
Interact with Robots: Interact with a responsive robot that waves, moves, and follows simple commands.
Build Your Own Robot: Experiment with modular robotics by assembling Cubelets. Learn how sensors and motors work together to make robots move, light up, and make sounds.
