Aerospace Bristol to host second Home Education Day
On Tuesday, 25th February, Aerospace Bristol invites families to a special Home Education Day, designed to inspire the next generation of engineers with STEM workshops and fascinating Concorde tours.
One of the highlights of the day is the Layer It Up workshop, where attendees will discover how aircraft materials have evolved over time, from the early days of aviation to the cutting-edge composite materials used in modern manufacturing. Through hands-on experimentation, groups will create their own composites by layering different materials and testing their strength.
The day also boasts the opportunity to take a guided tour of Concorde. Guests will uncover the story of the first supersonic passenger jet, exploring its engineering triumphs, record-breaking achievements, and much more.
Guests can also purchase tickets for the Red Arrows Experience. Have you ever dreamed of piloting a jet like the legendary Red Arrows? Aerospace Bristol’s Red Arrows Simulator offers an immersive experience that makes you feel like you're part of the famous aerobatic team.
A valid museum ticket is required to participate in workshops, so be sure to plan ahead. Aerospace Bristol’s Home Education Day offers an unforgettable educational experience for learners aged 5-15 years old.
