Chocs Away!: Aerospace Bristol’s Easter Time Travel Adventure

Chocs Away! is the newest activity at Aerospace Bristol, landing this Easter from Saturday, 5th April to Sunday, 27th April. Visitors can delve into some era-specific meals and food items enjoyed by pilots and passengers.

From steaming thermoses of Bovril on early Bristol Scout planes to astronaut ice creams enjoyed today, this trail is the perfect intersection of food and aviation.

The inspiration behind Chocs Away! is from the actual phrase, ‘Chocks Away’, believed to be used during World War II by British pilots to signal take off. Chocks are blocks traditionally made of wood placed under the tyre of aircraft to prevent any unexpected movement.

Visitors can complete each challenge in the food trail and claim a chocolate prize at the end.
