Historic WWII Aircraft Bolingbroke to Make Its Outdoor Debut This Bank Holiday Weekend
This Bank Holiday Weekend, a significant milestone in aviation history will take place as the WWII aircraft the Bolingbroke 9048 makes its outdoor debut for the very first time.
The aircraft, which has undergone years of careful restoration by Aerospace Bristol’s dedicated team of volunteers, is now ready for this momentous occasion. In recent months, the volunteers have been working tirelessly to prepare the Bolingbroke for its unveiling.
On Sunday 4th and Monday 5th May, the Bolingbroke will be rolled out of the Conservation Workshop for the first time. Famous for its role during the Second World War, the aircraft stands as a remarkable symbol of history and heritage.
Everyone is welcome to join this special event and witness the Bolingbroke’s unveiling. This occasion is part of the museum’s Spirit of '45 event marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
