Step Back in Time with the Filton Blitz Experience This May Bank Holiday

For the first time ever, Aerospace Bristol is opening its restored air raid shelter to the public as part of a special May Bank Holiday event.

On Sunday 4th and Monday 5th May, visitors can take part in the Filton Blitz Experience, a unique opportunity to explore the shelter and discover the powerful history of RAF Filton and the Filton Blitz. This immersive experience transports visitors back to the 1940s, offering a glimpse into life during wartime and the resilience of the local community.

The event is part of Aerospace Bristol’s Spirit of ’45 programme, commemorating 80 years since VE Day.
