Original Concorde flight case donated by former Chief Flight Engineer

Aerospace Bristol, has accepted an incredible donation from Concorde Flight Engineer Warren Hazelby.

This is the very flight case Warren carried onboard Concorde Alpha Foxtrot during the final flight back home to Filton on November 26, 2003, the day supersonic passenger travel came to an end. Inside are some amazing items, including Warren’s headset, his license and original flight documents.

As a Bristolian, born at Southmead Hospital, it meant a lot to Warren to donate his case to the museum in Filton, where all British Concordes were built.

Sir Iain Gray, Chair of the Trustees at Aerospace Bristol accepted the kind donation and Warren also gave a brilliant talk to visitors, sharing insights into the often overlooked but vital role of the Flight Engineer, before showing guests these unique items during an after-hours Mach 2 Tour.

It was also a joy to welcome back a familiar face, Neil Smith from Thornbury who was the youngest member of the British Airways Concorde cabin crew and accompanied Warren on Concorde’s final flight.

We are thrilled to have this flight bag to add to our collection as we continue to tell the story of Concorde’s unforgettable chapter in aviation history.
